: I just finished listening to the radio show that announced that contest. It got me to thinking....whatever happened to those letters. Don Wilson announced that all the letters became the property of Jack Benny and would not be returned. Does that mean that they did, in fact, end up...somewhere?
: In light of the episodes that spotlighted the contest, it would be certainly interesting to see what the content of some of those entries were. They would also have some historical significance (as far as the program), it would reflect how audience members (or the hundred million others) handled the challenge put forth by the contest. Does anyone know what ended up happening to the entries?

Of course, there's the winning entry from a few weeks later, and numerous joke letters from the likes of Lassie and Senator Claghorn. But no one seems anxious to mention the others. Maybe they ended up at UCLA's informal sort of Jack Benny Library.
