First of all let me say that from my perspective over here in England that America is the greatest country in the World and American radio comedy of the 40's and early 50's the best ever. Now a couple of questions.I've heard a J.B. programme from the early 50's when the sponsor was announced by Don Wilson as an insurance company (was it The Home Insurance Co. of New York?).Does anyone know what happened to Lucky Strike that week? They were back the following week.
Also on the final broadcast of the radio series from May 1955 Jack makes no mention of it being the final show but merely stated it to be the final one of the current series. His final words were "see you in the fall".Why was this........didn't he realise at the time that this was in fact the final show?
