: : Looking to obtain a copy of the show "Jack Joins the Acrobats" from 1965-either on its on or as part of a compliation.Thnaks.Mike J.S
: If you'd like to see an earlier version of Jack's "Acrobats" routine, it can be found in his 1939 Paramount film "Man About Town". It's basically the same bit, complete with Jack's little "high kicks"...only the 1939 version is even funnier because the acrobats are supposed to be a Greek troupe, and the men wear those little silk skirts as part of their costume...and Jack keeps doing little curtesies and lifting up his skirt a bit....Excellent physical comedy from Jack!
: Being that Jack did the bit both in a 1939 film and a later TV show, I'm wondering if the "Acrobat" routine was one of those bits that he included in his stage appearances (like the "Andrews Sisters" spoof and the judo expert).
Thanks for the follow -up.The Jacj Joins the Acrobats show analysis is found at www.tvtome.com
