: Dennis Day had a nice TV show of his own, and appeared as a guest on the Jack Benny Produced "Gisele MacKenzie Show" in 1958. Dennis made a nice album of ballads for Capitol Records in the early 50's, a nice Christmas album with Design that featured Jack Benny commentary and violin, and a WONDERFUL album for Reprise that was in stereo and later appeared on CD. There was also an LP on the Hollywood label, as well as lots of RCA singles, some of which appeared on an RCA Camden album, and a CD. There was also a 10" RCA album called "Dennis Day sings songs from Warner Bros. film 'My Wild Irish Rose.' RCA Victor also produced a children's album of Dennis recreating his wonderful part in the tune-filled story "Johnny Appleseed." Disney issued a soundtrack of this cartoon on their own label that featured Dennis doing all the voices and songs...it turns out that it was a favorite of legendary folk singer Joan Baez, who can recite the story and sing the songs in all the voices that Dennis created. take care, jim
Any idea where I can get a CD of the kids Johnny Appleseed songs?
