It is unfortunate some people do not appreciate OTR. They were rather watch something on TV, rather than use their imaginations and creativity the medium of radio offers.....
I bring my CD's or listen to downloads from radiolovers.com or otrcat.com of OTR shows at work. They help me enjoy doing my paperwork when I do not have to give my complete attention to a client (I am a social worker). In fact, one of my coworkers, about 20 years younger than me (I am 51), overheard me listening to Jack Benny, and I think I found a new fan!
And there is another audience I have yet to seen addressed in this forum. I provide services for people with disabilities, including those who are blind. Those who are blind (at various ages) tell me they love OTR too because, with radio, it is unnecessary to see what action is going on from Jack's poor old Maxwell chugging along a street to stuff falling out of Fibber McGee's closet, or Earth being invaded by Martians!
