I don't know about "George Washington Slept Here", but over the years "The Horn Blows At Midnight" has been considered as something of a Holiday film.
Sure, it's not "hardcore" Holiday fare like "White Christmas", "A Christmas Carol" or "It's A Wonderful Life", but many people associate that whole "Midnight" thing with the holidays...especially New Year's Eve.
In fact, the very first time I watched "The Horn Blows At Midnight" was on New Year's Eve (actually New Year's DAY, because the film started after midnight...A local TV station (which I was getting on Cable) was showing it as a special "Late, Late Show"-type feature.
