: : The author of a new Sammy Davis Jr. biography was on a radio talk show tonight. I called the show and asked about Jack's tour that included Gisele and Sammy in about '52. The author replied that Jack was a big fan of Sammy's. I don't know if the tour is specifically mentioned in the book. The book is called "In Black And White" by author Wil Haygood.

: Sounds very interesting....Jack Benny and Milton Berle were two comedians who gave Sammy some of his first major exposure as an adult you've mentioned, Jack featured Sammy as part of his early 1950's stage show, and Milton featured Sammy as a guest on several of his TV variety hours.

: The young Sammy was a bundle of talent and addition to singing and dancing, he also did GREAT imitations of famous stars!

I've heard for years what a great impressionist Sammy was, but have never seen any clips showing same! Anyone have any leads on old TV shows, films, etc. which would showcase this particular talent of Sammy's?
