: Are there any pictures of Mr. Benny playing his violin.
Gosh, I can't think of a one. (OK, facetiousness off.) Go to our photo gallery and you'll find a number of them: Biography (at left), then Photo Gallery. I'm attaching one for your reference.
: I am interested in the way he used to hold it while playing for I have heard, that he did not hold it the correct way.
Well, Itzhak Perlman commented that Jack had one of the best bow arms around. But Isaac Stern observed that because Jack had not done enough with the violin in his youth, he didn't have the proper musculature to be a truly great violinist. However, I don't recall any issue with the way he held it...check the photo and you be the judge.
Also did he only have one violin or did he have several? (I've been told that he had three.)
: Thank you.
He had multiple violins through the years, but at the time of his death he had two: a Stradivarius and a Pressenda. These were donated to the Los Angeles Symphony Orchestra.
