Not that I'm aware of...Kitty Carlisle Hart had hoped to make it her theme song, but Jack ended up having it associated with him too quickly. Leo Robin and Ralph Rainger (the composer/lyricist of both songs) do show up on Jack's show and try to pay him off NOT to play "Thanks for the Memories", but Jack does so anyway. Amazing that Jack would rather play than get paid!

There's also a story, although I think it's an urban legend (would have to look it up to be sure), that Jack was considered for the role that Bob Hope got in "The Big Broadcast of 1938" where Bob sang "Thanks for the Memory". I have to admit that it is a possibility, since Jack was in "The Big Broadcast of 1937".
