I need to learn how to use this message board. Let's try some actual answers this time.
: 1. Lucky Strike Sponsor – mentions Kurt Carlson. Jack wants to get George Burns to sing “when you say I beg your pardon”.
I don't remember the discussion of Kurt Carlson, and I'm not sure if you mean that George Burns was merely discussed or if he does indeed show up to sing "When You Say I Beg Your Pardon, Then I'll Come Back to You."
If it's the show where George actually sings it, the program date is: 01-20-52.
: 2. Jack is angry at cast and points out all the mistakes his cast made in last week’s program when they did a skit on “The Treasure of Sierra Madre”
Program date: 05-08-49, Eddie Cantor guest stars.
: 3. Jack and Rochester are talking about Ronald Coleman’s party and Jack was not invited. Dennis sings “An Irishman, An Irishman”,
This is a guess on my part, but as I think I have all the Coleman episodes *but* this one, I am pretty sure that this is program date 12-09-45. This is the first appearance of the Coleman's on the show.
I am sure someone can correct me if I'm wrong about these. :)
I find a very helpful tool in looking these things up is Jerry Haendiges Vintage Radio Logs, specifically the Jack Benny Program listings, which you can access at:
He offers logs for many shows, and while they are not all complete, they're usually pretty close. The index to all his logs are at:
