: A decade ago, my soon to be wife bought me two small pieces of cardboard signed by various folks associated with THE JACK BENNY SHOW of, I believe, 1933 as well as other NBC people. There is a date scrawled on the back of 1 piece. The signatures belong to orchestra leader Frank Black, announcer Howard Claney, singer James Melton, NBC announcer Tiny Ruffner, Jack and Mary. I know Jack's is authentic as it appears quite similar to others I have. Mary's, on the other hand, does NOT have an "e" on the end! As it was not her real name anyway, was it just that she had not yet finalized the spelling? Even in her autobiography, she makes no mention of(and probably wouldn't even remember) the different spelling. Anyone know?

I know George Burns always pronounced it Mary Livingston. He never said Stone.
