: : While I was channel surfing, I stumbled across an old (B&W) episode of the Lawrence Welk show, Jack was on,playing his violin. The Orchestra was performing "When You Say I Beg Your Pardon, Then I'll Come Back To You". What really made it hilarious was when Welk turned it into a Polka!
: Surprise, surprise...that's a Jack Benny Program, not a Lawrence Welk show. Specifically 10-23-62.
: Not the first time such a mistake has been made. Jack did a sendup of "Suspense" on the radio show once, and people still remember it as a Suspense episode. Or the time Jack had Groucho Marx guest star and they did a (very hilarious) takeoff on "You Bet Your Life".
Well... that's one on me :)
The reason I thought it was an old Lawrence Welk show is because the local PBS station aired it on their "Best of Welk" program... Thanks for clearing that up
