Giselle MacKenzie loves to tell the story about the time she was going to have lunch with Jack.
Jack stopped by her house to pick her up after one of his doctor's appointments.
Friends and family were always giving Jack grief about being a worry wart and a hypochondriac...Most of the time he imagined that he had one ailment or another, and there was nothing to it.
That afternoon he went to Giselle's house and was beaming from ear to ear. He told her that everybody always laughed at him for him imaginary ailments, but this time he showed them....
...then Jack sang in a little kid "Nya-nya-nya" manner, "I've got diabetes!".
Whenever Giselle told the story in later years, she would always say, "It REALLY wasn't anything to LAUGH about, but you just couldn't HELP it the way that Jack handled it!".
