Christmas on the Radio

Check out these HUGE collections (over 250 episodes) of Christmas radio that are being hosted on Archive.org. There are broadcasts of Lionel Barrymore (old man Potter from It's a Wonderful Life) doing a great job as Scrooge, versions of Miracle on 34th Street (with Edmund Gween is Kris), Holiday Inn (with Bing Crosby), It's a Wonderful Life (with Jimmy Stewart & Donna Reed), and ton more!

And of course the toppers - several Jack Benny episodes and one that I hadn't heard before - the Fitch Bandwagon episode where Jack visits Phil & Alice to play Santa Claus for the kids :-)

Merry Christmas!

Is that the one where the "real" Santa shows up? That's a pretty good one.

I don't know if archive.org has it, but there's also a good Burns and Allen Christmas show featuring Clarence Nash as their pet duck.

Yup - that's the one.

I think that Burns & Allen episode might be in there -- one where Gracie dreams she's going to the North Pole to visit Santa and she flies on her duck or something... don't remember...

But there are a heck of a lot of episodes here - from Eddie Cantor to Fibber McGee & Molly to My Favorite Husband to Bing Crosby... It's a heck of a holiday package :D
