Kitzel asks Jack, "Do you know what - what for turkeys are selling for today?" Jacks replies, "N-n-n-no." Kitzels says, "Well, if you knew you'd be nervous too, come a little closer."
Is it just me, or was the audience response that followed this exchange a little loud and long? I don't know, maybe the audience just found it particularly funny that Jack was making fun of Kitzel's stumbling over that "turkey line." I do know Jack liked to tease the other actors when they flubbed or stammered during a line-reading.
Just a thought.
