I have news about some coming rebroadcasts of classic Jack Benny radio shows:
(1) Tomorrow night (Sunday, January 15th) at 10:05 P.M. Eastern time, CHML Hamilton, Ontario will broadcast a Jack Benny show. They've done so at that time on Sunday nights for just about every week over the past few months, so it may be a regular slot for Jack.
CHML is at 900 on the AM dial with a wedge/triangle-shaped signal area with Hamilton, Boston, and Atlantic City as the "points". Inside that area, you should be able to hear their 50,000 watt signal; otherwise, try http://www.900chml.com at 10:05 P.M. EST, click-on the link to listen live, and enjoy!
(2) Toronto's CFZM (740 on the AM dial with a strong nighttime signal that reaches most of the Eastern parts of Canada and the United States, will carry four Jack Benny shows this week (Monday, January 16th-Thursday, January 19th) at 10:30 P.M. EST.
Beyond CFZM's signal area, you can go to either http://www.am740.ca or http://www.zoomnerradio.ca , and click-on the "Listen Live" link at 10:30 P.M. EST on the appropriate evening to listen and enjoy.
(3) "When Radio Was" will air the episode "Jack Goes To The Racetrack", but will split it into two parts, with the first part being Monday, January 23rd; the concluding quarter-hour to be heard on Tuesday the 24th.
"When Radio Was" is heard on numerous stations across the United States; however, the best bet in the eastern two-thirds of the U.S. and Canada to hear the show is Chicago's 50-kilowatt WBBM (780) at 1:05 A.M. Eastern time on the 24th and 25th (12:05 A.M. Central time).
In the case of WBBM, Jack will likely come on about 1:40 A.M. Eastern time.
Again, I don't work for any of these organizations, but I wanted to give you a heads-up concerning several chances to hear Jack in the next week and a half.
