For Now, No More Jack After Tonight (Nov. 15th) On CFZM....

....but there will be a couple of chances to hear Jack on the radio the next week or so.

Every Sunday night at 10:05 P.M. Eastern time, you can hear Jack over Hamilton Ontario's CHML.

While CHML, at 900 on the AM dial, has a 50,000-watt signal, it's quite directional. If you live within a triangle bordered by Hamilton, Boston, and Philadelphia, you should be able to hear CHML at night. If not, go to http://www.900chml.com at the appropriate time, click-on the "Listen Live" link, and enjoy!

Additionally, CHML's programming, including their Sunday-night rebroadcasts of Jack Benny, can be found on-demand in the "Audio Vault" section of their website. CHML programming is available on-demand for ten days after broadcast.

And on Saturday, November 23rd, "When Radio Was" will rebroadcast Jack's 1939 Thanksgiving show titled "An Ostrich For Thanksgiving" (maybe back in 1939, Ostriches were far cheaper than Turkeys, which would appeal to Jack's stinginess).

The weeknight editions of "When Radio Was" are broadcast on Chicago's WBBM, but I don't think they carry the show on weekends. However, the "When Radio Was" website (http://www.whenradiowas.com ), archives audio of programs for up to a week after broadcast, so you may want to check the "Show Archives" page between November 24th and 30th, click-on "Listen", and hear the show that way.

I don't work for either CFZM, CHML, or "When Radio Was", but I did want to give you the news.

Oh yes, speaking about CFZM's "Theatre Of The Mind": They carry a number of Christmas episodes of classic radio shows during December, and they'll likely rebroadcast at least a couple of "Jack Benny Program" Christmas episodes this year in the weeks prior to Christmas. I'll keep you posted on any Jack Benny Christmas episodes CFZM may rebroadcast at that time.
