I think the reason that people remember Jack with Jello is because when he was on with Jello, they constantly had Jello jokes. Beside the commercials, there were always cracks about Jello, such as Don as jiggled like Jello. Also, the in-show comercial were always very funny. The skits that Don supposedly "wrote" about Jello and they way they were intergrated into the skit helped people remember Jello.
