Found cool Jack Benny Book...

I was at my local used book store the other day and found a cool book called "Jack Benny-The Radio and Television Work". I have never seen it before but bought it right away! It's a large book put out by the Museum of Television and Radio. It's full of pictures I have never seen before and gives descriptions of some of the radio and tv shows. So glad I found it!

I'm crying here! I paid way more than a $1 and I had the pleasure of paying for shipping to the UK. I feel like such a Dennis Day It's a good read though.

Thanks for posting this. I hadn't heard of the book before so I ordered it from your recommendation. Wow, it's fantastic! It's a treasury of information about Jack's radio and television shows.

One of the essays in the book, titled "Lending Character to Comedy" or something like that, was written by an old college instructor of mine -- David Marc. He taught a class called "TV in America" and I vaguely remember (this was 30 years ago) writing papers about Leave it to Beaver and Garry Marshall. Best class ever...
