Life can by strange!

Jello again,

Haven't said that in awhile...feels good. I have listened to most every show of Jacks from 1936-1951, and I have just started to listen to the 51-52 season. Well, I was listening to NPR and they were talking about novelty songs, and they mentioned Mel Blanc performing "I taught I Taw a Puddy Tat," and that it was a top ten hit. I thought to myself, I would like to hear that song some day. Not two hours later, I'm listening to the next episode in the season for Jack Benny, when what should happen but Jack Says Mel will sing a song, and Mel Blanc performs the song that I heard about just a couple hours earlier on a current NPR program. What are the chances that out of the almost 1000 episodes of Jack Benny, that I would happen to listen to that one on the very same day? It's alomost spooky, but in a nice way!
Your pal,
Buck Benny

Coincidental Timing

Closest I can come regarding radio is the time I listened to one of the Fibber McGee shows I had on tape, as I went to bed one night. There was a big fuss about Bergen and McCarthy coming to Wistful Vista for the premiere of their new movie.
The next day AMC ran the movie-- it had Fibber and Molly too-- I think it was called "Look Who's Laughing."
But outside the realm of radio, there was the time I walked past a store in a mall which had been featuring the supermodel Giselle Bundchen in advertising posters in their window. I thought, "She has great eyes, but from her nose down, she's just too skinny, like all the supermodels these days. I wonder if she might have a sister with the same kind of eyes, but not so skinny-- but in that case we'd never hear of her because she wouldn't qualify as a supermodel."
Before I left the mall I went into B.Dalton and I saw a magazine with Giselle and her sister on the cover!
