Cartoon Voices on the Benny Show

I think everyone knows of Mel Blanc's connection with Warners cartoons and may know Bea Benedaret and Sara Berner also did voices for Warners (as did Elvia Allman, who appears on occasion on the Benny show). But I was quite surprised to hear a familiar cartoon and commercial voice on the Feb. 28, 1954 episode.

The unmistakeable voice of Bluto, Jackson Beck, is playing Jack Benny's father.

The show was from New York, where Beck was based. I don't recall ever hearing him on any other Benny broadcasts.
