Once again I get to plug a Chuck Schaden "Those Were the Days" broadcast for the upcoming week. (I can't wait until February comes when he'll have a full month of Saturdays of all Jack.)

On this Saturday's show he'll be playing the first postwar Christmas show on Command Performance from Christmas Eve 1945. Guests includedBob Hope, Bing Crosby, Dinah Shore, Harry James and his orchestra, Herbert Marshall, Jimmy Durante, Ginny Simms, Jerry Colonna, Johnny Mercer, Judy Garland, the Pied Pipers, Ed Gardner, Frances Langford, Kay Kyser, Cass Daley, Frank Sinatra, Mel Blanc and President Harry S Truman.

The show will heard live in Chicago on WDCB-FM (90.9) and on the web at http://www.wdcb.org Saturday (11/12) from 1:00-5:00 CST. You can also hear it for a week starting on 11/15 at http://www.nostalgiadigest.com starting Tuesday.
