The only way I can think to link this item to Jack's Associates is that Gisele MacKenzie sang and recorded many of Cole Porter's songs. I am referring to the current movie release "De-Lovely," the story of Cole Porter's life. I went to see the movie a second time tonight, and actually enjoyed it more the second time around. Although it didn't get very good press, I think it is better than the reviews seemed to suggest, and is worth seeing on a big screen. The movie suggests the glamor of the 20's, 30's, 40's and the "Golden Age." I was especially
impressed by Ashley Judd's performance as a "society woman," but played in a very natural, non high fallutin manner. When she was onscreen, I forgot I was watching a movie, and she made me believe she was someone I could really fall in love with. There is quite bit of comedy in the movie, including a scene of Cole and "Louis B. Mayer" and others on the MGM backlot doing a sendup version of "Be A Clown." I think this is a movie worth seeing.
