I have been listening to my Jack Benny collection in order since about December or so. I realized that in over 25+ years of collecting shows I had never done that. I just listened as I found shows.
When the sponsor changed to Lucky Strike I became intrigued with the tobacco auctioneer.
I came across this interview at UNC with another auctioneer who talks about his work and what the chant was all about. It seems odd that the interviewer does not recognize L-S-M-F-T.

I liked the interview, but I couldn't help feeling it should have been more like:
How long did you work as a tobacco auctioneer?

Oh, for heaven's sake!
