DVD news - Jack and Merv Griffin

November 1, "THE MERV GRIFFIN SHOW: 40 of the Most Interesting People of Our Time" will be released... a multi-disc volume of interview highlights from Griffin's late night 60s-70s talk show. Jack is listed as one of the guests; I don't know the date of his footage.

The amazing thing is that Jack is even included in the Griffin DVD set! Most of the stars on that set are recent celebrities like Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise and Denzel Washington.

One of the all-time BEST Merv Griffin shows EVER was one where his guests were Bob Hope, Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour.....for the WHOLE PROGRAM! They reminisced and cracked each other up over behind-the-scenes "Road Picture" stories and other things. I'm 49 years old now, and I was a teenager when that episode aired, but I still remember it!

Unfortunately, TVShowsonDVD now reports that the distributor (Alpha Video) has postponed the title, new release date "to be determined." Amazon still has the set for preorder, but TVShowsonDVD says that Amazon's projected January release date is not accurate.
