Benny show added to LoC's National Recording Registry

and it is... you guessed it "Your Money or Your Life" from 3/28/48. NPR did a nice story on the registry yesterday. They didn't mention the Benny show specifically, but did play the infamous clip. Other recordings in this year's Library of Congress registry include the Apollo 11 broadcast from the moon, Hoagy Carmichael's 'Stardust', Nirvana, the 'Star Wars' soundtrack, Edward R. Murrow's reporting on the Battle of Britain. Nice selections.
