Upstairs Downstairs

It's not comedy, but it's hard to be into Jack Benny without some interest in history. We recently finished watching the five-season classic series "Upstairs Downstairs", and were really blown away by the high quality of writing, acting, directing, and just overall work. Very patient scenes that take time to develop characters.

And a lot of people think of Jack and the gang as family...you'll feel the very same way about the people in this series. Almost cried at the end because you just don't want them to go away. Granted that the time covered extends from 1903 to 1930 (before Jack's radio era), but still a magnificent period piece. Five stars.
