Jell-O, c'mon and get with the Benny Program!

Postby Jack Benny » Mon May 17, 2004 10:33 pm

Give me a break :!: He saved your precious Jell-O, and you give him a paragragh :( !!!

I'm on one of those new diets :x , and my wife gives me sugar free Jell-O  , but she can't figure out how many kinds there are. So I figure I'll check the Jell-O site and find out. While I was there I thought I would see if they did some sort of tribute to Jack. I mean, after all, he did save their product! They have this nice big history section, and another section with Jell-O advertisments though the years. The advertisent section had none of Jacks ads at all  , and heck they can't be that hard to find because I have one of his Jell-O ads hanging in my den 8) for goodness sake! OK, I say he must have a section in the "History" area  . Jack gets one lousy paragragh  . Not even real history  ! Just a bit with Jack and Mary telling a joke about Jell-O that's so bad it must have been written by the Jell-O people :x ! Below is the link:

Here, here. There were a series of color ads featuring the caricatures of Jack and Mary in various situations, as well as the "Jack and Mary Jell-O Cookbook". I don't know who was writing those gags (Harry Conn?), but I never thought of CORN as being one of the overarching Jell-O flavors.
