Every once in awhile at work, someone will arbitrarily say "Oh, floorwalker!"

The "yes" response always get a laugh.

Frank's one of my favourites. Especially selling soothing syrup :)

A few years ago, someone sent me a Colorado radio interview with Frank. It was really enjoyable. Sounded like a nice guy who held his ground when he had to (I guess being head of the AFRA would do that).

I am wondering where you work?!?

(i just remembered that i've been meaning to look up "floorwalker"...Was this a generic name for store sales, a department store salesperson that worked more than one area, or a manager type?...)

I have read of several instances where he seemed to be someone of strong principles, and pulled it off so as to be all the more respected for it.

I would guess that his "yeeesssss" tagline is one of the very best remembered JB legacies....and that character's voice is one of the classics. (i believe the Simpsons and other on-going references&legacies have been noted on this board)

Thank you Frank Nelson for so many incredible radio shows.

I work in a radio station.

I'm trying to think of a favourite Frank Nelson episode. It's so hard to pick. There's one where he's doing the Lucky Strike spot ("Oooo! DO they!") and I still think the Drear Pooson line is funny, not even considering the background behind it.

Slight change of subject but still Frank Nelson related. U.S. Cellular is running a radio ad campaign for its business phones. In it there is a salesman representing rival cell phone companies who basically tries to fit in his business customers with everybody else.

Whoever that guy is sounds so much like Frank Nelson's more normal speaking voice (as opposed to his YYYYYEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS and Ooooh! voices) that I wonder if whoever the voice actor is isn't paying tribute to Nelson.
