Henry Morgan quip

Postby scottp » Thu Dec 15, 2011 11:30 pm

I popped a Henry Morgan mp3 collection into the player when I went to bed last night, and I heard bits and pieces each time I came to. So it's nearly impossible to go back and find things to get the date or the exact wording.
But he said something fairly close to:
"I went to see 'Citizen Kane'... that's the picture that has five varieties of Orson Welles-- lemon, lime, cherry, chocolate, and Don Wilson."
By the way none of the shows is as early as the original release of Kane-- so he was apparently referring to a re-release.

Check that... the first four shows on the disk are dated 1942 so never mind what I said about "re-release."

I think it was Henry Morgan who did a parody of Jack Benny. I have it somewhere...
