1968 NBC Special "JACK BENNY'S BAG" Desperately Wa

"Jack Benny's Bag" was broadcast on November 16th, 1968, on the NBC network. It co-starred Phyllis Diller (in an extended take-off of "The Graduate" wherein Ms. Diller portrayed the "Mrs. Robinson" character, and Jack played the Dustin Hoffman role), Eddie Fisher, Lou Rawls, and Dick Clark.

November 16th, 1968, coincidentally, was my 12th birthday. My biggest present that year was the very first cassette tape recorder I'd ever seen or heard of (I'd asked for a tape recorder for ages; when I unwrapped the package, I wondered, "What's this?"), which I used to record the audio portion of Jack's special.

That audiotape is long gone, sad to say, but as they say in Freedonia (or maybe elsewhere?), c'est la vie... I'm fussier nowadays anyway. I want the entire show now, audio and video.

I periodically grovel and whine on this forum, hoping someone has it, and will magnanimously share it, either out of the goodness of his/her heart, or for cold, hard cash. This is my latest plea; collect 'em all! So turn my  into a :D. HELP!!!

Ummm... Please? ("Don't forget your manners, David.")

By the way (he said defensively), when I entitled my post "1968 NBC Special 'JACK BENNY'S BAG' Desperately Wa," I did not carelessly type more letters than the forum's subject titles allow. Of course not. Don't be silly.

"Desperately" is a small town in the state of Washington (WA), and that's at least as far as I'll travel to find this blasted show!

Yeah, that's it. That's the ticket. Just ask my wife... Morgan Fairchild.

I thought perhaps you want it so bad you had been reduced to bawling like a baby. "Waaaahh!"
