Benny Connections to "Suspense" Christmas Shows

Postby Maxwell » Sat Oct 22, 2005 2:45 pm

This quarter's "Nostalgia Digest" web site has an interesting article on Christmas shows featured on "Suspense." There are a couple of Benny connections, one direct and one indirect.

The indirect connection is a mention of Elliot Lewis, who became producer-director of "Suspense" in 1950. Lewis played Frankie Remley on the "Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show.

The other direct connection a description of the Christmas Show from 1950, "A Christmas for Carol," in which Dennis Day starred. (I'm on a Dennis Day kick today!)

You can read the article at http://www.nostalgiadigest.com/current%20issue.htm.
