Preparing for membership poll

Hello all,

I've been thinking about doing a membership poll for a while, to understand more about what people want from the club, what people like from our services, and why some people don't use some services (like our newsletter). Before I create the larger Web page for a poll, I'd like to get some feedback on a few questions so I can make better multiple-choice options.

You can respond on the Forum or to me privately at jackbenny@aol.com. Your candid and constructive feedback are appreciated.

1. If you subscribe to The Jack Benny Times, what do you like best/least about it?

2. If you do not subscribe to The Jack Benny Times, what is your major reason for not doing so? What would motivate you to subscribe?

3. If you use the IJBFC library, what do you like best/least about it?

4. If you do not use the IJBFC library, what is your major reason for not doing so? What would motivate you to use it?

5. What do you like best/least about the IJBFC Web page?

Well, if you asking here goes. Are you sitting down? Take a deep breath now. Fill you mind with happy thoughts - I think of Jack and I throwing a frisbee at the beach, whoops knocked his toupee off again. Actually, I love everything about what you have created here. It is a great place to come for either the Benny fanatic - like me, or the Benny novice. Below is a list of things I love, and things I would change just a little bit.

Love
1. The Forum
2. Caption Contest
3. Video Library
4. Audio Library
5. Newsletter
6. Most important - you, Laura, are intimately involved with everything on this site, you post in the forum, read and respond to your e-mail. You are the best part about this site.

Small Changes
1. The word Newsetter does not adequatley express what the "Jack Benny Times" truly is. Why don't you make one of the PDF's of a sample issue available on line, so folks can try before they buy. I waited about 6 months to try one issue - now look I've purchased everything! I know if I knew the quality of this production I would have acted much quicker.

2. Each time a new "Jack Benny Times" is available post a couple of papragraphs from the best article on line as a teaser for the issue. Also sell current issues individually if folks want - just charge them a little more if they go issue by issue.

3. Make it known that back issues of the Electronic Version are available at a reduced price fron the hard copies. Folks know that about the subscriptions, but no where on this site does it talk about back issues in electronic form.

4. Add a General OLD Time Radio Forum to the Forums, I would love to talk about Lum & Abner, Fibber, and Lucy on Radio, and I would love to have a way to do that here.

5. Change the price of the suggested donation in the MP3 library to $5-$7.50 instead of $10 per CD. 10$ just sounds way too high and even though they don't have to pay that it creates a psychological resistance in the mind of the member - OOOhhh Doooess it! - Bad Frank Nelson imitation.

6. That's all I can think of right now.
