There is a hilarious episode being played this week on XM. The first half has Mr. Kitzel, Phil, and Dennis over to play bridge. The second half is the skit of The Farmer's Son. The biggest laugh that I know of off hand when Jack, as the farmer, lists off the different animals and Mel Blanc does their sounds. He ends with a jackass and a guy says, "How do you do." So many of the shows are so goofy and hilarious that I'm dying laughing. Perfect for keeping me company as a truck driver.

It is tough to pick. Some times I think I like the earlier shows, then the WWII shows, then the later shows... Just depends on the day -- it's tough to pick when they're all so good. But for me, it comes down to two I haven't seen mentioned before...

1) "Captain Horatio Hornblower" (1951-09-23) - One of the first show I heard -- "Ship off the starboard bow!" "What kind is she?" "She's a Spanish Galleon!" "A galleon?" "Good! That's a quart for each of us!"

2) "Listening to the World Series (1948-10-10) - I just love the baseball announcer (Frank Nelson) -- "Here's an interesting side note on Robinson. At the beginning of the game he was 5'2" tall. Now in the 4th inning, he's 6'3" tall." "What??" "Everyone here is wondering how Robinson grew so."
