Youtube has one of those huge "Archive of American Television" interviews with Doris Singleton, who talks a bit about taking over as Mary's maid, Pauline, after Butterfly McQueen left the show. I haven't watched the whole three hours to see if they get back around to Jack, but the relevant bit here is about two minutes in.
