Remley's laugh?

As I listen to the Benny shows again and again, I keep noticing a fellow with a very infectious laugh. He seems to start laughing a beat ahead of the audience. I have heard that they kept a mike near Frank Remley for this very reason. Is this Remley I'm hearing?
"Hey, Jackson, does Fred Allen always talk through his nose?"
"Yes, Phil. He's the only comedian who tells 'em and smells 'em at the same time!"
